Meade ETX-125EC Review: Meade ETX125EC Telescope w/Electronic Controller. My 11 year old son and I jointly purchased a Meade ETX-125EC and tripod. When I was his age I spent my summer nights outside looking though a fair quality 4.5 inch Newtonian reflector. My son took the Astronomy merit badge in Boy Scouts and got the bug bad!
